USERC, Department of Information Technology, Good Governance & Science Technology, Govt. of Uttarakhand invites nominations /applications for the USERC young women scientist Awards 2023-24 to honor the young women scientists for their significant achievements in the field of science, technology & Applied sciences including social sciences. Nominations may be proposed by head of the institutions or directly by the candidate through proper channel. The incumbents should be engaged in basic and applied research in any discipline of science & technology leading to various applications for product generation and technology development.
These awards will be given in the following two Categories:
- USERC Young women Scientist Excellence Award (below 30 years of Age)
- USERC Young Women Scientist Achievement Award (up to 45 years of Age)
Following are the broad themes to be considered for accepting the Excellence and Achievements awards.
The nominations/applications must comprise the following themes-
- Scientific applications and Technological Interventions for Socio-economic development
- Noble endeavors in motivating girls for pursuing STEM Education
- Contribution in development of Indigenous Knowledge System and its Application for Agro Ecological Entrepreneurship Development
A letter of appreciation from HOD outlining the ground in persuasion of above indicated broad themes. A brief description of candidate’s work highlighting important achievements and significant contributions in the indicated field of Science & Technology.
These awards will be bestowed upon those working in Uttarakhand State. The selection of the candidate will be alone by a panel of experts. The decision of Panel will be final. Only selected candidates will be intimated. These awards will be presented in a function organized by USERC. Those who have been awarded in earlier years need not to apply again.

The last date for receipts of the hard copy along with desired documents is –25.10.2023 (Wednesday) till 5:00 P.M.
All the nomination / application may be submitted electronically (by e mail – info@userc.in) in the prescribed format only till 22.10.2023 (Sunday) and the hard copy of the same along with supporting documents must be submitted by hand/by post/speed post/ or through registered post only latest by 25.10.2023 ( Wednesday) on or before 5: 00 P.M. at the following address:
