Uttarakhand Science Education & Research center (USERC) in collaboration with Govt. inter College, Kyari, Ramnagar organized a workshop entitled “conservation and rejuvenation of Kosi river” on 23.12.2019 at Community Hall, Ramnagar . Chief guest of the workshop was Honorable MLA Shri Dewan Singh Rawat. He emphasized that this is very important programme. Everyone should join hands to conserve Kosi river . He also appreciated the efforts of USERC for organizing the workshop. Prof J. S. Rawat deliberated on current status of Kosi and sensitized people regarding future threats. Prof Charu pant Dr Manju sundriyal and Dr Rajendra Singh Rana presented the efforts & activities of USERC and highlighted importance of Eco clubs in conservation of rivers. Prof Charu Pant pointed out on illegal encroachment of river beds. A total of 60 students from 10 schools participated in the programme.
