Himalayan Day is celebrated to spread the message that solutions for sustainable development and ecological stability for the Himalayas must be as unique as the Himalayan ecosystem itself.
This day which was observed for the first time in 2010 is an occasion to remember and pay tribute to glorious episodes connected to the Himalayas. Rallies and seminars are held in various parts of the state to mark this day.
